In the latest in the series of Onatti Productions’ Modern Foreign Language plays for schools, ‘Prendre Sa Revenche’ last week came to Blackheath High. In this comical tale of revenge, two wily antique dealers try to trick customers by passing off fake artifacts as real - but this time it is them who are made to be the fools!
In yet another great piece of live, interactive French theatre, our student audience helped pack a punch on the comedy as they became part of the performance and playing off the two fools against each other. Read Mille’s review (Year 10):
I found ‘Prendre Sa Revanche’ really funny and I think it was a really beneficial way for students to develop their French listening skills. I think having these Language plays are a good way to learn French without being in a stressful exam situation. This play was very interactive, including asking students to translate and having one girl come up to be part of the play. Languages plays are always very interesting and I find them to be a fun way to relax between lessons.
The actors were adaptable and worked to fit in any student while still keeping the play engaging and entertaining. I found the play really enjoyable and I think all the girls who watched it were happy they went.
