Our School minibuses offer an extensive transport system
At Blackheath High School, we operate a private minibus fleet and coach service to transport girls to and from school, with our own regular drivers. Our network is extensive and includes direct services from the City of London, Tower Gateway, Hackney, Whitechapel, Canary Wharf, Isle of Dogs, North Greenwich, Wapping, Canada Water, Rotherhithe, Deptford, Brockley, Lewisham, Greenwich, Blackheath, Woolwich, Eltham and Chislehurst. Due to high demand, our coverage has been recently extended to cover even more areas of London.

To further help busy parents, we offer an interactive journey planner and flexible online booking system to enable parents to book a place for their daughter on the school bus. Simply type in your postcode and find your nearest bus stop, check timetables and make bookings. Find out more about our travel provider, Vectare.

We operate a Travel Buddy scheme for new Year 7 girls wishing to use our School Transport Service. Girls who live in the same area can be partnered with fellow students and travel in together. We will organise the buddying up as part of our Year 7 Induction Programme in the summer term of Year 6.

Junior School

By train - The nearest railway station is Blackheath, which is served by trains from Lewisham, Dartford, London Bridge, Victoria and Charing Cross.

By bus - Bus routes 54, 89, 108, 202, 380 all stop near the Junior School.

By car - Public car parks are located at Blackheath Station and Blackheath Grove.

 

Senior School

By train - The nearest railway station is Westcombe Park, which is served by trains from St Pancras International, Farringdon, City Thameslink, Blackfriars, Waterloo East, Cannon Street, London Bridge, London Charing Cross and Dartford.

By Docklands Light Railway (DLR) - The nearest DLR stations are Greenwich (at Greenwich Railway Station) and Cutty Sark (for Maritime Greenwich).

By bus - Bus routes 53, 54, 108, 202, 286, 380 and 386 all stop nearby.

By car - Please note that there is some paid and free parking in the area, although local roads around the school are generally restricted for non-residents and girls are encouraged to use school or public transport, or active travel modes, wherever possible.
