Safeguarding

Safeguarding involves protecting children and young people from maltreatment within or outside the home, including online. All members of staff at Blackheath High School receive appropriate safeguarding and child protection training upon joining the school, with regular updates and training through the year.

Girls at Blackheath High School learn how to keep themselves safe and are encouraged to speak to the Safeguarding Team or any member of staff if they have a safeguarding concern. We aim to take action to meet the needs of children as soon as problems emerge to ensure that all children have the best outcomes.

If you have a concern about a student at Blackheath High School, please follow the link on our Safeguarding Information Leaflet and contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Mrs Jayne Leamon (j.leamon@bla.gdst.net).
