When I made my speech to be elected Sports Captain for Paragon during Sixth Form, I promised to try to organise more House sporting events as I believe they are a good way to relieve stress in students and also bring our school community closer together.
So, along with Martha (Head of Paragon), we set up a Kingball Tournament. After weeks of preparation, it was very rewarding to see the large number of students who came, not only to support their friends, but also their House. Many of the girls took photos and the Sports Hall was filled with smiles & screams of encouragement! Martha and I both wanted this event to bring the community closer which is why I also asked the teachers to get involved.
We played four games in total with Paragon winning first overall, Meridan coming second, Vanbrugh third and Morden fourth. Overall, I loved being able to organise such an event with Martha and we plan to organise more sporting events in the future especially with sports day coming soon.
