To celebrate Black History Month, the Junior School held a series of African Drumming workshops over two days. Each class was treated to a drumming session during which the girls learned about the djembe drums of East Africa and how they are played. Each class created its own piece of drum music which was great fun. The instructor was very impressed with the girls’ sense of rhythm and said that he could tell that music was taught well in the school.
