On Thursday 15 June, Blackheath High hosted the annual Heads of Geography Conference.

Dr Geraldene Wharton from Queen Mary University of London gave an update on the water cycle and Raphael Heath from Bath High School introduced teaching ideas for the carbon cycle; both of which are new to the A-level specifications. Karen Haward from Sussex University spoke on developments in migration and trade and Mrs L Stevens gave feedback from being an OCR A-level examiner this year. It was a great opportunity to come together to update our subject knowledge and offer each other advice on the new GCSE and A-level specifications.
