Two of our Sixth Form Chemistry students bravely took on the notoriously tricky University of Cambridge Chemistry Challenge this half term. This competition aims to stretch and challenge students interested in chemistry and provides excellent experience for anyone considering taking their Chemistry studies further.
Set by an experienced team of teachers and university chemists, it is designed to take Sixth Form students significantly beyond the syllabus and encourage them to think about science in the way they would at university. The challenge consists of a 90 minute paper completed under exam conditions. I am delighted to say that Anwita and Maddie, from Year 13, received a Silver and Copper award respectively.
Both are significant achievements as the paper is incredibly challenging, so they most definitely deserve a huge ‘Well done’.
