Blackheath High is passionate about supporting and being an active part of our local community. As part of our Communities Programme, we were delighted to host an afternoon tea for residents of Leah Lodge Care Home Blackheath in October. Year 11 students served tea and cakes and had a lovely time chatting with their elders about news and local events and engaging in a spot of chess and other board games. One of our VIP visitors was even a Blackheath High alumna who went on to become a teacher herself. Thank you to all who attended – visitors and students alike. 

For our little ones in the community, watch out for our popular Classics for Kids musical performance (with tea and cakes!), which will take place on 16 December for a Christmas Special - ‘Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer’. Invitations will be posted on our social media accounts in the next few weeks, so please do forward them on to friends and family with children aged 0-5.
