We are thrilled to announce that Blackheath High School has been shortlisted in the Independent Girls’ School of the Year category of the Independent Schools of the Year Awards 2024.
This prestigious awards programme, by Independent School Parent Magazine, showcases success stories and celebrates the extraordinary student experiences they provide. There are more than 20 award categories, which receive over 1,000 entries from independent schools across the UK.
Blackheath High School was shortlisted in recognition of its commitment to creating an education and an environment which is designed for girls, putting them at the centre of the learning experience and enshrining the principles of fearlessness, inclusiveness and developing the individual to achieve her potential.
Head, Natalie Argile, says: “We are so proud to have been shortlisted for an award which recognises our profound commitment to the principles of the pioneering women who founded the GDST. From learning in the classroom to the choices girls make and the people they become when they leave, everything we do is designed to enable girls to learn without limits and to achieve whatever they put their minds to. A Blackheath High School education is designed for girls - students are empowered to give the very best of themselves, in an environment where every subject is a girls’ subject.
“This nomination is testament to the hard work, dedication and passion of our teaching staff, students and community.”
