This year a number of our students’ works of art were again entered into the RA Young Artists’ Summer Show competition and Kyra (Alumna, Class of 2023) successfully met the high grade to exhibit at this prestigious curation of works - the second time that a Blackheath High School students has been selected. 

Kyra’s work was selected from over 21,500 submissions, amidst a very high standard of entry and in the RA’s words, with the judges “blown away by all of the entries this year”. Just a small number of submissions will have been selected for display at the Royal Academy and Kyra was honoured to be one of them. 

Kyra’s stunning sofa painting (2023) can be seen this summer in the Royal Academy (16 July - 11 August) and also in the online exhibition from 16 July.
