Girls in Year 3 went ‘dotty’ for the inspiring artwork of Yayoi Kusama this term. Often dubbed 'The Princess of Polka Dots', Yayoi Kusama is a contemporary Japanese artist who lives in New York. With a choice of making a mushroom, flower or dot-based design, the girls used bright paper, pens and even highlighters to echo Kusama's bold use of colour. Many were particularly impressed by how the artist not only creates canvases, but also whole-room installations and even matching fashion.
