With role models like Laura Kenny and ‘bright young road prospect’ Flora Perkins to aspire to, it’s no wonder that two of our Blackheath High School girls are pushing themselves in track racing at the former Olympic track Herne Hill Velodrome (HHV). We are delighted for Charlie from Year 8 who won third place in the U12s girls track league - a cumulative points-based win across the season. She was over the moon to be presented her medal by former HHV and Velo Club Londres (VCL) rider, now professional Le Col-Wahoo rider, Flora Perkins herself! Also winning best newcomer in the U12s was Emma from Year 7. So proud to have two of our girls representing this great sport!
