SENDCo
Required from: April 2025
Contract term: Permanent
Hours: Part-Time or Full time (Flexibility for Part-Time 3 - 5 days per week)
Salary: Competitive in accordance with experience plus benefits
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEND practitioner to join our team as the SENDCo and work closely with the Head and Senior Leadership Team in the strategic development of our SEND policy.
In this key role, you will work in conjunction with our existing SENDCo to oversee screening and assessment procedures, coordinate educational support, and ensure the delivery of effective SEND provisions that drive student achievement. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the school’s SEND policy, liaising with parents, staff, and external agencies, while reviewing diagnostic tools and assessment procedures to ensure the best outcomes for students.
The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in teaching students with SEND, alongside a strong understanding of the challenges and needs of these students. You will have a proven track record in SEND leadership, including experience in administering assessment tools, analysing SEND-related data, and implementing differentiated teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs. A recognised qualification in SEND (e.g., Dip.Spd, AMBDA, MA in Education) is essential.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned SEND professional to take on a leadership role within a forward-thinking school, where you can make a substantial impact on SEND provision and contribute to a supportive, inclusive environment for all students.
