Last week marked a very special summer term finale concert, celebrating the power of #WomenInMusic. With only 5% of music performed on the concert platform composed by women, I wanted to try and do something to inspire our own students. 

The inaugural BHS Women in Music Festival took place on Tuesday 28 June. All students from Year 2 and up were involved in some way. We had a wonderful day, jam-packed with lectures, workshops and performances. The day ended with a concert, featuring music composed by iconic women and performed by a number of our choirs and ensembles. Thank you to all involved for a fantastic evening of music and entertainment.
