The Year 10 group spent the day exploring the world of Astronomy. They visited the Royal Observatory where they saw one of the largest reflecting telescopes in the world, and learned about and stood on the historic Prime Meridian of the World. They also enjoyed the Astronomy Photographer of the Year, which showcases the world’s greatest space photography at the National Maritime Museum. After enjoying lunch at Greenwich Park, the students watched a planetarium show where they went on a fascinating journey into space and also built their own star scopes to project a constellation of their choice.
