Eco Club and Mrs Bijnens have been working extremely hard in the pond area of the Senior School. It took some effort to take all the weeds and nettles out, but there is now a compost bin, an area to work (soon to feature tables and benches), and bee, bird, and hedgehog houses for wildlife. There’s even an infrared camera to check on the animals overnight!
All that hard work is certainly paying off, as we can see in this beautiful photograph from Georgia Benns, 7S.
Spring has certainly come to Blackheath High, as the Eco Club welcome their newest members – frogspawn! There are even some tadpoles hatching already:
Keep up the good work, Eco Club!
