This month was the last session of the year for the Community Engagement and Outreach programme. Below are some of the wonderful events the girls have been getting involved with!

Classics for kids concert - a concert for parents and young children to explore music and musical instruments (Y11 & Y12):

Meals for Evelyn Community Store - students made 77 meals of a veggie pasta bake for a local community store that is linked with a food bank (Y11 & Y12):

Pillow case dresses for ‘Little Dresses for Africa’ - students have been making dresses for Little Dresses for Africa, who send the dresses to orphanages across the continent (Y11):

Cards for kindness – positive messages for a local care home – students wrote messages and made postcards to people in a local care home (Y11):

Litter picking on the Heath - Care in the local environment (Y12):

Plus, students also:

• went to Pointers, Sherrington, BHS Juniors to help in local primary schools.
• worked at Oxfam charity shop in Blackheath Village
• volunteered at Morden College to finalise their Oral Histories project, where they interviewed residents to record their life stories
• volunteered at Morden College to participate in their ‘Jamming Session’ in the care home
