On Wednesday, Leila, Miah and Shona visited Downderry Primary School with a delivery of books they had been collecting for their school library.
The girls were inspired after Leila’s mother talked to the girls about the challenges of the school being in an area of high deprivation. So the girls decided to donate towards the school's library.
The girls were wonderful ambassadors for Blackheath High School and demonstrated cooperation, respect, compassion and integrity.
The Headteacher of Downderry Primary School has thanked Blackheath High for allowing the girls to run with this initiative, and to Mr Mostert, for helping to box up the books. They look forward to including them in their school library and classrooms.
