On Tuesday 28th March we held our annual LAMDA Evening. It was a super event with girls being able to show off their LAMDA examination pieces to an audience. The LAMDA programme is very popular at Blackheath High School with over 100 girls in the Senior School participating and taking the examinations, in two venues, over three days!
Students prepare, with the support and guidance of our wonderful LAMDA coaches, for two terms, which culminates in a graded examination. However, their work usually gains an audience of just the coach and the examiner and it is so lovely for the girls to present their incredible talent to a bigger audience and for us all to see the wonderful content of their pieces.
We are also delighted to announce that one of our resident actresses and LAMDA coaches, Lucy Tregear, will be appearing in “Room” at Theatre Royal, Stratford East in May-June.
