Year 1 have just started reading The Adventures of Egg Box Dragon by Richard Adams.  

The girls listened to the author's description of the dragon and drew the dragon they had pictured in their imagination while listening. Next they annotated their drawing before making it out of egg boxes and anything else they could find at home. The Egg Box Dragons they have made are fantastic! 

As we continue to read through the book, the girls will be busy writing poetry about their dragons, interviewing them on the TV news, writing letters to each other's dragons and even planning tea parties for a very special visitor.
