Year 10 GCSE Design Technology students have to learn about many things including flat pack furniture.

The best way to learn is to "get your hands dirty", so we went to IKEA and bought some much needed storage units. The two small groups attacked one each and built a hardwood, wheeled trolley and large scale open storage system.

It was great to see them working in different ways - Jood the problem solver, Eloise the muscle and Misa the boss (maybe?!).

We're pleased to say that the furniture is still standing and the students know much more about flat pack!
