Year Two explored the process of tie dyeing as part of their Out of Africa topic.

The girls very sensibly arrived in old mufti clothes ready to get messy. We began by soaking our cotton t-shirts in soda crystals before shaping and then dyeing each item. Siblings and staff were invited to bring in their own t-shirts for the girls to dye for them. After leaving the dye to soak in overnight, we rinsed and washed our shirts the following morning. Everyone was amazed by the results. Look out for our colourful creations in the Year Two assemblies in March.
