Over the last few years we have been lucky to have beautiful weather and performances on Sports Day and this year did not disappoint. The sun was shining, house spirits were high and the girls performed with determination. What more could the PE department ask for?!
There were some fantastic performances throughout the day and even some records were broken. Ezi, Mark, Orlane, Misa, Gemtabitha, Miah and Freya all set new school records and Millie and Jasmine equalled the old ones.
The House Egg throwing competition was won by Paragon, the Tennis was won by Mordern, the Tug of War by Paragon, the Year 7 & 8 Rounders by Morden, the 9 & 10 Rounders by Paragon, Year 7 & 8 Cricket by Vanbrugh and Year 9 & 10 Cricket Morden.
All of these events culminated and were added on to the house Athletics which was won by Vanbrugh.
The Overall Sports Day results, therefore, were 4th place Paragon with 1055 points, 3rd place with 1085 points were Meridian, Morden were 2nd with 1320 points but our Sports Day Champions for 2019 were Vanbrugh with 1395 points.
