The Senior School opened its doors to scores of Year 5 pupils on Wednesday 19 June, who took part in a BBC Apprentice-style entrepreneurial smoothie making challenge.

Supported by our Head of Business and Economics, Mr Sodhi, and Year 12 Business A-level students, teams of four to six girls created a unique drink, from inception (budgeting, negotiating for ingredients, branding and advertising) to creation and pitching their creations to the Head – in just two hours.

Girls came from South East, East and North London to take part and experience the range of facilities and expertise available at Blackheath High School. Competition judges were impressed by the creative range of smoothies and adverts, engaging presentations and teamwork all of the participants brought to the day.

Well done to everyone involved in the action-packed morning.
