Our Nursery, Reception and Year One girls took part in a carousel of outdoor maths activities during Maths Week. 

The girls were organised in mixed age groups, with the older girls in Year One supporting our youngest girls in Reception and the Nursery. The girls were able to enjoy a wide range of cross-curricular activities with a maths focus, including using our positional language to move teddy to the other side of the playground, counting the number of balls that we could drop through the parachute, exploring capacity at the water tray, using natural materials to create patterns and explore symmetry, building towers with giant Lego bricks, and working together to make shapes with our bodies.  

The girls made the most of the glorious weather to engage in exciting and rewarding outdoor learning opportunities.
