Year 3 Curate for the Day at the Old Royal Naval College

Following a fieldtrip to an organic dairy farm at the start of this half term, Year 8 have been studying an array of issues surrounding food production.
This week the Year 8 girls were making food miles pizzas in the kitchen. Students were asked to bring toppings in to create their pizzas.
The follow up lesson will focus on calculating the food miles using the weight, origin, transport method and subsequent carbon dioxide used. A pizza ‘pie’ chart will be created using the results.
