On the 10th October the U16 Netball team set off early to Rainham School for Girls, ready to play their first tournament of the season – The U16 Kent Counties.
They arrived in positive spirits, warmed up and the tournament began. The day began with a tough match, however, the girls used this as an opportunity to develop some strong sequences of play, which prepared them for matches come. The next four matches left the girls feeling confident with wins over Cobham Hall, St. Dunstan’s and Highstead Grammar and a draw with Rainham. After a well-deserved break and another warm-up there were two more tough matches to play. These were difficult games, which were hard fought, however there was very strong play around the attacking circle in addition to some superb interceptions in defence.
It was a good experience and the team played well together throughout making great progress. The team are looking forward to incorporating what they learnt today into their future match play. They were a determined team who grew in confidence throughout the day and together they challenged every team they played.
