The annual Percussion Concert took place on Monday 30 April with over 25 performers taking part. Blackheath High School is the only school in the GDST who has enough percussionists to warrant holding such a specific concert so it is always a unique event! 

Sambinos opened the concert followed by the Mini Mallets group who put together a fantastic samba in one rehearsal. Beat It wowed us with cups and body percussion and we were treated to solos and a duet from Mrs Gunton and Miss Browne. The concert finished with what can only be described as an epic performance of Billie Jean which saw students changing instruments half way through the piece on a rotation system.
