The Juniors had a spot-tacular time raising funds for this year’s Children in Need event on Friday 17th November. Our charity reps Lisa and Katya presented a special assembly on Thursday morning to explain why Children in Need was such an important charity and to showcase the various fundraising events that our girls could participate in. We are so proud of the consideration that our girls show to those who are less fortunate than ourselves and it was wonderful to see so many spots and happy faces on Friday morning.
Each class was responsible for a fundraising event at break time. This ranged from 'Pin the button on Pudsey', organised by our eager Reception classes, to treasure maps with our Year 3 classes and face painting by our very artistic Year 6 girls. Even the Nursery joined in with their very own Pudsey Party in their classrooms.
Our caterers, Accent Catering, generously donated Pudsey biscuits for every girl, which alone enabled us to raise over £160. Our charity reps also made a special money box for old pound coins which proved very popular. The final total was an impressive £800!
Thank you to everyone involved for helping us to make this such a remarkable fundraising event for a very worthy cause.
