This term, Reception have been learning about the famous palaeontologist Mary Anning, who lived at a time when girls did not routinely go to school. As part of the topic, Reception pupils made their own dinosaur bones from clay. They excavated fossils using tools like Mary Anning and displayed their fossils in the Reception Dinosaur Museum. The girls have become dinosaur experts and can now explain the difference between carnivores, herbivores and even omnivores. In the final week of term, we are having a Christmas visit from some very realistic dinosaur puppets – more to come in the next edition of Highlife!
