We are absolutely thrilled to be named as a Finalist in the Independent Girls' School of the Year category for 2024, by the Independent School of the Year Awards. It is an incredible honour to see our teachers, students and community recognised in this way, and to wave the flag for excellence in girls' education.
Head Natalie Argile says: "Distilling down into a short award entry all the things that make Blackheath High School such an exceptional school was incredibly hard! We focused on our commitment to creating an environment which is specifically designed to enable girls to learn without limits and to achieve whatever they put their minds to.
"From the Junior School's innovative Mighty Girls Challenge, which inspires girls to be Ambitious, Brave and Curious (ABC); to the Senior School's vast array of opportunities designed to foster the next generation of leaders, innovators and changemakers; to the academic excellence that enabled our students to achieve our best ever GCSE and A-level results in 2024 - we are immensely proud of what our girls achieve every single day.
"We already know how special our school is - to be recognised as a Finalist for such a prestigious award is a huge honour. We will keep our fingers crossed for a win at the awards ceremony on 8 October, but Blackheath High School is already a winner in my eyes."
