Every year, the Blackheath High Fashion Show goes from strength to strength, showcasing the incredible art, design and textiles talent here at the school. 2023 was no exception – the show, entitled Totality, was an extravaganza of creativity. The catwalk pulsed with energy and innovation, and the inspiring designs left the audience breathless.
With pieces created by students in Year 9 and above and modelled by pupils from all year groups, this year’s Fashion Show was a true celebration of creativity.
In a brief interval to the stunning collection showcase we were treated to a powerhouse rendition of Sam Smith's hit 'Lay Me Down', from Ruby in Year 13.
We were also delighted to welcome alumna and true fashion expert Bobbie Gillespie to the show – she left Blackheath High in 2014 and now works for Alexander McQueen! We can’t wait to see which of our aspiring designers might follow in her footsteps.
