Before our students and staff head off for a very well-deserved summer break, I want to take one last look back on another fantastic term and reflect with pride on everything we have achieved.
We are delighted to announce that Blackheath High Junior School has been shortlisted for Independent Prep School of the Year 2023 - this is a wonderful accolade and a real testament to the passion, joy and tireless commitment of our Junior School teachers and pupils bring to school every single day.
Sometimes, when I am looking back over our achievements, it seems hard to believe all this is the result of just one term! Over the Summer term, two students brought home medals from the London Youth Games; a team from Blackheath High was shortlisted for a Mayor of London's Design Future London Award; our Art Department curated an incredible Annual Art Exhibition; the Gadesden inter-house Drama final captivated our audiences; Senior Trips Day 6 took us to the beach, to Essex and even to Boulogne; Year 6 said goodbye to Junior School with an action-packed trip to France and an outstanding Year 5 & 6 performance of Kitty Whittington; Year 12 raised money and awareness for Pride Month; and so much more.
I am so excited to see what the Autumn term will bring. But until then, we wish all our families a peaceful, relaxing and memorable summer holiday. And the very best of luck to all our GCSE and A-level students awaiting their exam results. After all your hard work we hope that you enjoy a well deserved summer break!
Best wishes,
Mrs Natalie Argile
