A varied and action-packed start of the year!

It’s been an action packed Half Term! We enjoyed hosting senior leaders across the GDST for the Senior Leaders conference. Sessions were fascinating, including a tour de force from Miranda Green, FT journalist, on the future landscape for independent schools and a fascinating session in ‘Design Thinking’ by Cris Turple, from the GDST’s learning and innovation team.

Over the last two days alone; we sent our skiers off to the slopes of Switzerland for a wonderful snowy week; enjoyed a stunning fashion show at Seniors packed-full of creativity and innovation; welcomed Sir Martin Chamberlain for a guest Wollstonecraft lecture on what makes a good barrister and the Juniors enjoyed a danceathon courtesy of the winning mock election party. If nothing else, it is a window on the varied, action-packed ‘every day’ at Blackheath High School!

As we head into Half Term, can I wish you and the girls a restful time, whatever your plans. Keep safe from storms of every kind and we look forward to seeing you soon.
