Salary: £22095 - £28656 (pro-rata £19408 - £25171) dependent on qualifications and experience
The role
Blackheath High School has an exciting opportunity for an Exams Officer to assist with the administration, organisation and smooth running of public and internal examinations. The successful candidate will oversee all arrangements for examination entries, including administration and invigilation.
This is a full-time position, 36 hours Monday to Friday, Term Time with additional 15 days being worked in the School holidays. It is essential that the post holder is available to work during the month of August (from A level results until the end of August), in order to process examination results.
Experience gained within a school examinations environment is essential, as is knowledge of examination board regulations and expectations. A high level of ICT competency is required, and experience of SIMS would be advantageous.
As the Exams Officer your responsibilities would include:
- managing all aspects of the examinations system
- being the main point of contact between the school and the awarding bodies
- accurate entry of student examinations in advance of deadlines
- organising exam materials, providing safe custody of and organising examination stationery and materials
- managing the exams timetable including room bookings and seating plans
