The GDST Classics Conference was a virtual event hosted by Oxford High School and our Year 13 Classical Civilisation students attended. 

The speakers included Professor Oliver Taplin speaking on ‘Are Greek tragedies necessarily misogynist?’, Professor Llewelyn Morgan on ‘Vile Violence in Virgil’ and Professor Phiroze Vasunia on ‘Classics and Colonisation’, which looked at the study of Classics in the colonial and post-colonial eras. 

The students really enjoyed listening to the speakers and having their questions answered.
