Over the half term, Betty, one of our Year 8 students, chose to donate 16 inches of her hair to the Little Princess Trust. 

About the Little Princess Trust
"We provide real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment and other conditions.

Since 2006, we’ve provided more than 8,000 wigs and have given grants totalling more than £7 million towards research projects focussed on finding more effective treatments for childhood cancers."

Not only did Betty donate her hair, she also raised an outstanding £825 - £325 over her £500 target!

This was an amazingly altruistic act by Betty, and we are incredibly proud of the dedication and commitment that she has shown towards helping this great cause.
