Over the Easter Holidays, Year 7 were given the assignment to come up with their own species, adapted to a certain habitat, and describing how they survive despite tough competition in their food webs.
Students came up with magnificent species living under high pressure, which led to them having no bones or a completely different bone structure, predators and their prey, and even plants and fungi with very specific morphological and physiological defence mechanisms.
This was a very interesting project and students were able to show their imaginative and creative side, whilst still learning about Ecology and Ecosystems.
