On Thursday 22 November, a very excited group of Year 2 girls set off for a visit to The Science Museum.

Despite a long and slow journey they arrived full of anticipation and didn’t have long to wait. As a finale to our topic ‘Deep Down Under’, we went the museum’s IMAX theatre to see a 3D film called ‘Under the Sea’. The girls loved wearing the special 3D glasses and squealed with delight as the sea creatures appeared close enough to touch.  

After the film, we spent a short time in the Pattern Pod, a hands on gallery which encouraged the girls to explore a great number of patterns.

A great time was had by all and a coach load of very weary girls returned to school.
