Our Whole School Pledges:
Whole School Pledge #1: To add the study of Ocean Plastics to OUR school curriculum
As a school so fortunately located next to the iconic River Thames in Greenwich, it seems fitting our Whole School pledge for our 140th Anniversary is to add the study of Ocean Plastics to our school curriculum. This will help everyone - teachers and students - to work towards reducing plastic waste in our rivers and seas.
To deliver this pledge we will be working with resources from Common Seas, whose vision is “healthy seas for all” and whose mission is to “quickly and significantly reduce the amount of plastic produced and stop it polluting our rivers and seas”.
Whole School Pledge #2:
We are also delighted to be working with Common Seas to deliver our second whole school pledge: to work towards significantly reducing single-use plastics across the whole school as we endeavour to improve our precious maritime environment.
