As part of this half-term’s Artist Focus on William Morris, Year 3 have made their own prints inspired by nature.

The girls have studied William Morris patterns like ‘The Strawberry Thief’ and ‘The Trellis’ and used viewfinders to select and sketch small details.

They designed and made their own cardboard collograph printing blocks including shapes from the British countryside, which were then used to make repeated or rotational print patterns, resulting in impressive outcomes like this:
