On Tuesday 9 February, Year 8 students esperienced a live lesson from Ms Caroline Howkins from WWF about the geography and ecosystems of southern Kenya and northern Tanzania.
Students discovered the interdependence of natural systems and recognised the consequences that occur when connections are altered or damaged by humans.
They learned about human-wildlife conflict in the region and how WWF’s Land for Life project is providing real-world conservation solutions in this landscape.
WWF commented afterwards: ‘Students were wonderfully interested, and asked some of the best questions they’ve had so far.’
