We were delighted this month to welcome Alexandra MacKenzie as our speaker in the latest of our Wollstonecraft Speaker Series events. Alexandra is a GDST alumna with an eclectic mix of career experiences ranging from leading large commercial and operational teams in financial services in the City and advising CEOs in a tech start-up, to launching a not-for-profit office in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Whilst there, Alex had to overcome operational challenges such as Ebola, volcanic eruptions and kidnapping threats.  

She shared everything she wished she’d known when she was at school – the luxury of great foresight! - including advice on which degree courses and careers to pick and what types of companies to work for. Importantly, the girls were given great advice on how to best prepare yourself for the world of work, how to have as much fun as possible and have the most impact that you can along the way.
