Salary: FTE £32,115 - £38,068 (actual pro-rata £26,039 - £30,865) per annum

About the role

Blackheath High School has an excellent opportunity for an organised individual with excellent time management and administrative skills to play a key role as Cover Supervisor.

The primary responsibility of the Cover Supervisor is to provide effective supervision of pupil lessons when teachers are absent. This includes managing registration, distributing set work, and assisting pupils with their tasks.

We are seeking candidates with a good standard of education, particularly in English and Mathematics, along with previous experience in a school environment or in roles working with young people. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to manage a classroom effectively. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, able to work well under pressure, and have a genuine interest in the educational development of young people.

Founded in 1880 by the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST), the UK’s leading network of independent girls’ schools, Blackheath High School is a selective school for girls aged 3–18.  We are fortunate to be located on the edge of the stunning Heath and within easy reach of historic Greenwich and Canary Wharf.
