This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher of Physics with excellent leadership skills to play a pivotal role in a well-resourced and flourishing Science Faculty.
As the Head of Physics you will have overall responsibility for the professional leadership and management of the department. Leading by example, you will ensure that high standards of teaching and learning are delivered.
If you have significant successful experience in Physics as a teacher, Second in Department or Head of Department and have the ambition to make a significant impact on the success of the school and to enhance the girls' education we would be delighted to hear from you. The ability to teach Maths is an advantage but not a necessity.

Physics is an important and popular subject at Blackheath High with an impressive record of success at all levels and we are proud of the number of girls who go on to study Science and related disciplines at university. Students also enjoy taking part in Science related clubs and competitions.
